Originally from the little caribbean island of  Trinidad and Tobago, DJ Biggie grew up on a steady diet of flavorful Caribbean music such as Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, Banga to name a few. At an early, age he displayed his musical talent by mastering the clarinet at age 10 in just two short years. By age 13, his music library expanded into many other genres including Hip Hop, R&B, Rock and 80s. DJ Biggie’s Djing career started as a “roadie” for a family friend, DJ Fat Paul, for extra money. After a few times working with him, he started falling in love with the art form of Djing and wanted to learn the techniques. Determine to learn, DJ Biggie started to pay close attention to Paul and jump at any chance to apply what he had learned so far. He gained the nickname “DJ Pee Break,” because that is where he would get most of his opportunities to play. Paul saw how interested DJ Biggie was in Djing and started tutor to him at home, but it came to a quick end because of an opportunity to move to America and continue his education. Although he maintained his love for music and Djing, he was not fortunate enough to buy his own DJ equipment, so his dream had to be on hold. While in college,  he could financially afford to buy used turntables and a mixer. He began djing in his room and then for small dorm parties. He quickly gained popularity and the reputation as the “College DJ.” Soon he was sought after for all the college house parties. As his skill and demand grew, he was asked to DJ for the basketball and soccer homes games. It didn’t take long DJ Biggie to realize his potential and he started working vigorously to make a name for himself. DJ Biggie has since gone on to be one of the most sought after DJ’s on the East End. He has played at some of the Hampton’s most hottest venues like Boutique, AM Southampton, Neptunes Beach Club, SL East, 75 Main, Dream Night Club, Memory Motel, Cyril’s Fish House, The Point and many others where he played for numerous celebrities.
